Coordinating baking, customization and hand delivery is no cakewalk,
but our clients’ peace of mind is priority – and a vital ingredient
in our recipe for success.
We provide quality assurance of your
custom-branded images by producing them in our Charleston, SC headquarters
before sending them on to a local baker in our network. We’ve established
great relationships with the very best bakers all over the country, and
we can guarantee that each baked good is baked great. The final step,
hand delivery, is truly the icing on the cake!
And that’s how we do it… from oven to office! The final product looks almost too good to eat, but don’t let that stop you!
*Note: The process for cookies is slightly different. Cookies are baked by one of our cookie vendors, individually wrapped and sent to the recipient on the date of choice.

Find the answers to your questions below!
WHAT IS AN EDIBLE IMAGE? WHAT DO THEY TASTE LIKE?
Just as an 8.5x11 white paper goes through a regular printer to produce a printed image, a frosting sheet, also known as edible paper or icing sheet, goes through our printers with edible ink to print a fully edible, full-color image! Frosting sheets are made of sugar, and taste and act just like frosting! The baker applies the frosting sheet to a layer of fresh frosting, securing the sheet to the cake. Icing sheets are FDA approved and do not contain any allergen ingredients. They are gluten, soy, and nut-free as well as free from any risk of cross-contamination.
WHAT IS EDIBLE INK?
Edible inks are a specially-formulated food coloring mixture for printing onto icing sheets. The inks have been certified by an independent FDA registered facility as GRAS. GRAS is an FDA term that ensures all food ingredients are safe and contain NO harmful ingredients/additives of any kind.
What do I do if I have more than one image I want to use?
No problem! Many clients use more than one image on their cupcake, cookie and cake orders. We can do equal parts of your order for each image (i.e., 6 of each logo per dozen cookies OR each cake with a different image), or we can help design one image that encompasses the multiple images/logos you want to use.
What format does the image need to be?
A high resolution image, such as .png or .tiff, produces the best images.
What size are the logo images?
The available space for a logo image depends on the baked goods ordered. For cookies, the maximum available printing space is a 2.5” round discs. For cupcakes, a 2” round disc space. Circle logos or vertical stacked logos work best on cookies and cupcakes! The icing images on cakes are rectangular, sized to fit the cake ordered - either in small (8”x10”) or a large (11”x15”). The logo image can work both horizontally or vertically. Remember, we need to leave space for a delicious piped icing edge on all baked goods!
How long does the edible image last?
Fresh is best! We recommend that the cakes get consumed the day of delivery. A freshly baked cake with a new icing image is best when consumed within 24 hours. Over time the natural dyes in the printed image will start to bleed. Depending on several variables (temperature, type of cake/frosting, etc.), this could happen in 72 hours or within a week.
Can I order just the printed icing sheet?
Sure! We can print and ship icing sheets for you to apply to your own cakes. We will include an application best practices informational sheet to make sure it looks as professional as possible.
Can I customize my order?
Most definitely! Every event is special and unique – and the cakes and cupcakes should be too! In addition to the icing image, you can add a hand-piped icing message and choose your icing colors. You can even add a personalized card to accompany your cakes and cupcakes.
Do you offer image design services?
Yes. We can help design an image for your celebration. If you have multiple logos or want additional copy or elements added to your logo, we can provide that service.
How far in advance do I need to place an order?
10+ business days from delivery is our standard lead time. During this time, we secure the baker(s) at your delivery destination(s), print the logos, ship the logos to the bakers, bake the cakes, and deliver! We can usually accommodate rush orders with an additional fee, but please contact us to confirm.
Is there a minimum quantity for an order?
Yes, the minimum cupcake order per delivery destination is 2 dozen (24) cupcakes. The minimum cookie order per shipping destination is 1 dozen (12) cookies. The minimum cake order is one cake.
Can I order cakes and cookies in the same order?
Yes! It is always nice to have a cake to eat during the celebration and cookies for people to take with them afterwards.
Do you accept personal orders or just corporate?
While our specialty is working with businesses to deliver cakes to multiple locations across the US, we are more than happy to help you celebrate any occasion – like your parents’ 40th wedding anniversary or your high school reunion. Please make sure you have permission to use the image or let us help you design one!
Do cake orders come with a cake cutter?
Yes. You can also order plates, forks and napkins from us for a true turnkey celebration.
Can you help me choose a flavor or filling?
Call us (877-761-8580) or email us at orders@coporatecakes.com, and one of our order specialists will walk you through the options. The most popular option is a yellow cake with buttercream frosting, decorated with either white frosting piped around the edges, so your logo really pops OR frosting that compliments your logo piped around the cake.
Can you do Kosher cakes?
Yes. Kosher goods are part of our premium catalog. Our icing sheets are Kosher Pareve certified. We have Kosher bakeries in our network, so just let us know your delivery location and we will see if we have the bakers available!
How many people do your cakes serve? What size are the cakes?
The exact size of our cakes can vary slightly from bakery to bakery. Some bakers may make the cake a little smaller in length and width but add more to the height of the cake. You also may prefer to have slightly smaller (or larger) sized slices for your event. Please use the following as a guideline.
Based on a 2” x 3” “slice”:
For more information on our cakes, please check out our product pages.
Should I refrigerate my cakes and cupcakes?
We recommend that you eat the cakes and cupcakes as soon as possible - they’ll taste freshest that way (and look the best too)! In the event you can’t eat everything right way, cakes and cupcakes keep best at room temperature, in an airtight container.
Do you ship baked goods?
Logo cakes and cupcakes are never shipped – they are hand delivered by our local bakers. We ship our logo cookies via UPS or FedEx.
What if I have multiple locations that need to be delivered on the same day?
Delivering to multiple locations is our specialty! We have a network of bakers that can deliver to locations across the US. We work with you to ensure they deliver within a window of time leading up to your event. To ensure successful delivery, we need confirmed, complete delivery addresses, including the receiver’s name, direct phone line, and any security clearance instructions, at the time of order.
Can you deliver to Canada?
Our primary focus is the US, but if you have a combination of US and Canada delivery destinations, we have bakers in the major provinces of Canada. Please contact us at orders@coporatecakes. com with the details of your order to confirm our coverage.
What if the recipient isn’t available to accept the delivery?
With all orders, to ensure successful delivery, we need confirmed, complete delivery addresses, including the receiver’s name, direct phone line, and any security clearance instructions, at the time of order. If the recipient isn’t present and therefore, the baker isn’t able to deliver, the baked good(s) will return to the bakery and held for 24 hours awaiting further instruction. If redelivery is needed, an additional fee will be charged.
